The Divine Fasting Yogi

About Nirahari Baba

I am Rajendra Regmi, aged 60, a resident of Mahalakshmi Municipality – Ward 8, Lalitpur, Nepal. A divine (non-human) power resides within my body, granted by the grace of Lord Shiva of Mahakal (Ujjain, India). I had dedicated my body for the sacred Bhasma Aarti. By divine grace, I have been gifted with extraordinary powers, which distinguish me from common mankind.

Years after my birth, I attained a spiritual siddhi (divine accomplishment) known only to me and the Supreme. In this scientific age, spirituality can be validated and authenticated through medical and scientific study. For a balanced and enlightened life, spirituality and science must go hand-in-hand.

India’s DRDO had previously conducted research on Chunhari Baba, who lived without food or water, and validated his state of Nirahar (fasting). My body possesses even greater divine abilities than his. The Nepal Medical Board at Bir Hospital (documents attached on website) officially declared in writing that they lack the capacity and resources to study such a phenomenon. Therefore, I appealed to India’s DRDO and AIIMS to initiate medical research on me. AIIMS has accepted the request and initiated the first phase of the examination process.
I express my heartfelt gratitude to AIIMS for commencing the research procedure on my body.

Honors and Awards of Nirahari Baba

Unique Attributes of Nirahari Baba’s Body

The unique features of my body are the result of a divine siddhi granted by God, wherein sunlight and air alone sustain me. For global medical science, this presents a valuable subject for research, and if found beneficial to human health, it may be useful for future scientific advancements.

Nirahari Life (23 Months Without Food or Water)

As of June 20, 2025, I have survived for 23 continuous months without consuming any food, water, or fruits. Scientifically, this is considered impossible. According to science and the Guinness World Records, the human body can survive a maximum of 18 days without water (as in the case of Andreas Mihavecz of Austria). But I have surpassed that limit and continue to live without any intake of water.

No Adverse Effect Even After High Drug Intake

As an experiment, I have consumed 100–200 tablets Per day of Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines — including sugar control, blood pressure, antibiotics, paracetamol, painkillers like Brufen — without any water, yet my body remained completely unaffected and healthy.
⚠️ Important Warning: No reader or viewer should attempt this. For an average person, such dosage is extremely dangerous and could be fatal.

Normal Body Functions Without Food or Water

Despite consuming no food or water, my body continues to function normally — producing sweat and urine (100–500 ml daily) — which is highly unusual and poses a significant scientific question.

Unaffected by 60°C Hot Water

When I pour approximately 60°C hot water on my bare body, from head to toe, I feel no discomfort, pain, or burning sensation, which is contrary to normal human physiology.

Increased Physical Strength

Even without consuming any food or water, my body displays greater strength and energy than the average human being.

Ability to Stare at the Sun for Hours

Where a normal human can look at the sun for only a few seconds or minutes, I can gaze directly at the sun for several hours without any discomfort or damage to my eyes.

Findings from Various Nirahari Sadhanas

1. Kathmandu (Nepal) – 20-Day Nirahari Sadhana:
I conducted a 20-day Nirahari (no food or water) sadhana under continuous CCTV surveillance at the Sundarimai Temple, Rupshetar, Gokarneshwar, Kathmandu, in the presence of parliamentarians, the mayor, temple committee, and local leaders. During this period, I consumed nothing, and despite taking a large number of medications, my body remained unaffected.
The CCTV footage (hard drive) is preserved with Hon. Member of Parliament Mr. Santosh Chalise.
To verify this, the Nepal Medical Board at Bir Hospital was officially contacted to recommend domestic and international research. Bir Hospital formally stated in writing their inability to conduct such research, and the documentation is attached on the website.

2. Patna (India) – 21-Day Nirahari Sadhana (August 1–21, 2024):
With permission from the District Magistrate, I conducted a 21-day Nirahari sadhana under CCTV surveillance at the office of the Anti-Crime Front, Kankarbagh, Patna.
From the third day onward till the end, my health was regularly monitored by a team of government doctors from Jayaprabha Hospital, under the District Magistrate’s direction.
This event was organized under the leadership of Mr. Dhanwant Singh Rathore (President, Anti-Crime Front), along with Buddhi Bahadur Bhatt, journalist Ajay Jha, and other dignitaries.

Upon successfully completing 21 days of Nirahari sadhana, I was honored for surpassing the Guinness World Record limits by the following esteemed dignitaries:

  • Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sinha, Bihar Government
  • Speaker Shri Nand Kishore Yadav, Bihar Legislative Assembly
  • Minister Shri Jivesh Mishra, Bihar Government
  • Minister Shri Ashok Chaudhary, Bihar Government
  • Anil Sulabh, President of Hindi Sahitya Sammelan (honored me on Hridy Narayan Jayanti)

All documents, newspaper clippings, and digital media coverage are available on the website.

3. Submissions to Government of India for Scientific Research:
I have officially submitted an appeal with full documentation to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, DRDO, and AIIMS Delhi, requesting scientific research on my body.
AIIMS Delhi has accepted the appeal and initiated the first phase of medical examination.
